Uganda Baati Partners with Rotary Club of Kampala Morning Stars to Support Cancer Run
Uganda Baati has reinforced its commitment to community welfare by purchasing 30 running kits for the upcoming Rotary Cancer Run. The event, organized by Rotary, aims to raise at least UGX 4 billion to fund ongoing cancer projects at Nsambya Hospital.
The running kits were officially handed over to Uganda Baati CEO George Arodi by Jolly Twine Mpairwe, President of the Rotary Club of Kampala Morning Stars. This gesture underscores the strong partnership between Uganda Baati and Rotary, both dedicated to improving the lives of people across Uganda.
Jolly Twine expressed deep gratitude to Uganda Baati for their steadfast support. “Rotary is a community-driven organization focused on initiatives that improve lives. We are thankful for Uganda Baati’s commitment to our cause and their support in the fight against cancer,” she remarked.
In response, Uganda Baati CEO George Arodi commended the collaborative efforts with Rotary Club of Kampala Morning Stars, acknowledging the voluntary work Rotary does in uplifting communities. “Partnership is a core value at Uganda Baati, and we are dedicated to community-driven initiatives. Through our NGO arm, the Uganda Baati Safal Foundation, we support various corporate social responsibility projects. Partnering with Rotary in this vital cause reflects our ongoing commitment to positively impacting Ugandans’ lives,” he stated.
The Rotary Cancer Run, scheduled for August 25, 2024, is expected to attract thousands of participants. The funds raised will be directed toward enhancing cancer treatment facilities and services at Nsambya Hospital, offering hope to numerous patients and their families.
