In a resounding message of unity and collaboration, the Resident City Commissioner of Hoima, Honorable Badru Mugabi, declared that Hoima is a settled city where both residents and Muslims thrive in cooperation. Speaking at the consecration of the Bunyoro Tororo Regional Kadhi at Bwikya Hill in Hoima City on November 17, 2023, Hon. Mugabi expressed gratitude for the harmonious relationship between Muslims and the government.
Highlighting the cooperative spirit of the Muslim community, Mugabi emphasized that their collaboration extends not only to the government but also to other religions. He urged leaders to support all religions, emphasizing that government programs are inclusive and do not differentiate between Muslims and non-Muslims.
Acknowledging the pivotal role of Muslims in various government projects, Mugabi thanked them for their consistent participation. He emphasized the impartiality of government initiatives, welcoming people from all backgrounds to partake in national development.
Concluding his address, Hon. Mugabi called for the continuation of strong friendships and relationships among leaders, transcending religious and tribal boundaries. The event, graced by H. Eminence Mufti of Uganda Sheikh Shaban Mubajje, attracted notable figures, including Bunyoro MPs and district chairpersons, underscoring the significance of unity in building a collective future for Uganda.
