In a riveting showdown at the Buswekera playground, Kibingo Ward emerged as the champions of the Ensonga Cup 2023, securing victory in a nail-biting penalty shootout against formidable opponents, Kihukya Ward.
The Ensonga Cup, now established as the largest football tournament in Hoima City, witnessed intense competition among 9 Wards, spanning from village-level clashes to the highly charged group stages. The tournament’s success was celebrated with the presence of esteemed dignitaries, including the Guest of Honour, Hon. Nyakato Asinansi Kamanda, Sunday Omubyasi of Kangabaije, Hon Recheal Asimwe, Hon Musinguzi Patrick, Hon Mulindwa Venah, MC Dox, Godwin Spice Fm, and Sylivia Batala, who graced the finals with their presence.
The event was kickstarted by the flag-off from Frank Zaga Tumwesige of Kitara FC, whose inspirational speech resonated throughout the tournament, fostering the identification and nurturing of talents within the region.
